How do you clean venetian blinds without bending the slats?
Support the slat from behind while you wipe the front. Close the blind so the slats overlap into a flat surface, wipe downward across the whole face, then reverse the tilt and do the other side. Wiping an open, unsupported slat is what bends it, and a bent aluminium slat never sits flat again.

How do you clean sheer voile curtains?
Wash voiles cool, on a gentle cycle, inside a mesh laundry bag, and rehang them slightly damp so their own weight pulls the creases out. Skip the tumble dryer entirely. Voile is light enough that it dries on the rail in an afternoon, and the weight of the fabric is a better iron than an actual iron.
Two habits that ruin voiles: wringing them out, which sets permanent creases into a fabric too fine to recover, and washing them with anything heavy, which snags the weave. Wash voiles on their own or with other light items, and take the hooks out first.
